If you are looking for a small slow notebook, then you have found it. So far I haven’t had any problems with it, but realize what you are actually getting for the money (something I didn’t pay too much attention to prior to purchase). The notebook has no dvd drive, something I found to be essential after the purchase. I had to buy a USB dvd drive, a decent one will run you close to $100.00. The notebook comes with very basic software. If all you want to do is surf the web, it is adequate. I wish I had purchased a small laptop with a better processor and dvd drive. I recommend you think twice!

I have found this 10inch notebook to be great for travel and has a long battery life that is great for road trips. I have not found anything that I have been upset about. It is not to be used for downloading large files or saving to the hard drive but all you need is a USB drive to save to and you are set!

I love my Acer Netbook. Added a 2GB SODimm 667 MHz Memory chip from Crucial. Keyboard and screen are absolutely fine for work away from the office. Close to 8 hour battery life on the 6 cell unit. WIFI reception is excellent. This unit also has bluetooth so that I can use my telephone headset while make Skype calls. Loaded Openoffice 3.1 on netbook and all modules function well. Reviewers have complained about the speakers on netbooks. You need to use headphones .. and the stereo sound is awesome. The red color of the netbook does pick up fingerprints; however, the fingerprints are far less noticeable than either the black or blue model.
Two minor minuses: (1) 6 cell battery extends past back of the netbook so it is may not fit most 10 inch netbook sleeves. (2) the 6 cell battery adds weight to the netbook; but not enough to concern me — my other laptop is a Dell Inspiron XPS (15″ screen) weights close to 3 times the weight once you include the charger.
All considered I rate this netbook a 5+.
I’ve had this product for a little over a week.

I read the reviews posted previously on this computer and have to agree with everyone else. It’s a wonderful little computer that hardly weighs anything. Despite the location of the shift buttons on the keyboard, it is not difficult to navigate the keyboard at all. I highly recommend this little dynamite computer to anyone looking for a portable, tote-along computer that can do just about everything the big boys do.

I bought this netbook two months ago to use with Skype on a recent trip to Greece. The model I purchased had bluetooth which really worked well with my jabra headset. ACER has a wide variety of model numbers which appear very similar but have different options such as color, bluetooth, battery size, etc. which can be determined on the ACER web site. The battery life was excellent with the largest battery available (I believe 5200mah), well over 7 hours. The ability to easily enable/disable both the bluetooth and wifi transceivers is nice for airline flights and further extends the already excellent battery life. Keyboard is a little small but I was able to manage it well with my large hands. The mouse touch pad works far better than any of my previous Dell or IBM laptop computers. The build quality seems excellent but time will tell. I continue to use it around the house for Skype phone calls to minimize my cell phone charges and because of the superior sound quality.
