In the past year I have bought 4 of these cheap Lenovo chargers. I don’t move them around or do anything stressful to them and they fall apart or stop working. Also, they overheat terribly, your leg will get burned by these they are so hot. Of the 4 I purchased:
1. Cord comes out near AC plug, leaving bare wires exposed in weeks. I fixed this with electrical tape.
2. Cord comes out near transformer, fixed with electrical tape.
3. Cord comes out near laptop plug, ditto.
4. Device overheats, have to unplug periodically.
5. Device starts working intermittently, I have to jiggle the cords, slap the transformer to get it working.
As I mentioned before, all I do with these is lay them on the floor and plug them into my laptop when I come home from work. I cannot baby these devices any more than I already do, they are just extraordinarily shoddy workmanship.
So to sum it up, a word of advice, spent 50$ and get the real Lenovo charger replacement. I know we all want to save a buck but given shipping and everything else you will pay more for these cheap chargers over time, I can attest to this.

I ordered this charger a couple of months ago and noticed problems within 10 days of owning it. Here they are:
1. The cord is shorter than the standard charger.
2. Plug for the adapter is often loose and needs be given an extra push so that it can charge properly.
3. Even when everything seems to be “plugged” right, the charger will not work and needs to be shaken, moved around, jiggled, or hit and beaten in order for it to charge.
4. Charger gets really really hot, it burns!
5. The warning text on the charger doesn’t make sense, which calls into question its legitimacy. It has the CE label on it, but that can easily be forged and copied.
The most worrying concern is that this charger began SPARKING and CAUGHT ON FIRE today. Please note, I was using the charger under what I consider normal circumstances. The charger was not pulled or hanging in the air. It was on the carpeted floor when I heard popping sounds. I turned to see a small fireworks show on my incredibly flammable floor. Had I not been there to witness, the situation could have easily become disastrous (involving firetrucks, ambulances, charred wood, loss of basic life necessities, etc.) After I unplugged the charger from both the wall socket and my computer, I noticed that the small explosion had burned a hole straight through the rubber wire insulation. My room still reeks of burnt rubber, but I guess that’s better than not having a room whatsoever.
I guess you get what you pay for…lesson learned, lesson learned. So in conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS REPLACEMENT CHARGER unless you’re mentally and physically prepared for spontaneous combustion. It sucks.

Excellent product and cheaper than a Lenovo original. Works well with my new Lenovo x201 Tablet. It appears to work well with all Lenovo laptops. Good quality materials

It died just in time for their 30 day return policy to be up. Don’t sacrifice quality just because this product is cheaper. It just doesn’t last.
